Blessing of the Backpacks Aug 16th
Dear Parents and Students,
The backpack that you carry to school contains more than books and papers and pencils. It's also stuffed with hopes and goals, dreams, struggles, and responsibilities. At the beginning of anew school year, let's add two more things to that list—two more things that will actually make the burden of that heavy backpack lighter. Let's add to the contents of that backpack the prayers of the church and the Savior's blessing.
This coming Sunday, August 16th, we'll kick off the new school year with the Blessing of the Backpacks. We hope students of all grade levels will attend. Students, whether you're starting preschool, advancing through grade school, navigating the challenges of high school, or heading off to college, allow us to wrap you in our prayers and surround you with God's love. Remember, you will never be alone; the Lord will walk with you every step of the way. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday.
